I Wanna See All My Friends At Once” (http://www.discogs.com/Revenge2-Eddie-C-BE-KRL-I-Wanna-See-All-My-Friends-At-Once/release/1972504). Er hat auf dem britischen (Slo-Mo/Deep)House- und (Disco-)Edit-Label Jiscomusic veröffentlicht (“You’re Welcome“, http://www.discogs.com/Eddie-C-Youre-Welcome/release/1699941). Vor wenigen Tagen erschein seine 12″ auf Flashback, “Make Change / Never Let Go” (http://www.discogs.com/Eddie-C-Make-Change-Never-Let-Go/release/1967560).
Eddie C – Keep It Deep Guest Mix
Genug von meiner Seite, it’s time for Eddie C:
1. Dear Eddie, would you like to introduce yourself?
I’m 32 years old. I’m from Canada; originally southern Ontario but I now live in Banff, mostly for the skiing and care-free lifestyle.
2. When did your initial music spark ignite?
The same time as most people. I think around age 10 or 11 a friend of mine played me some Run DMC and I was totally hooked on Rap immediately, Acid House and whatnot followed soon after… I was listening to a lot of radio back then and still have hundreds of old tapes from late nights pressing pause. I loved radio in the late 80s! They’d play everything. I miss it bigtime.
3. Who are your most important influences?
There’s too many to name, but I think most of all, the town I grew up in, looking back, had a rather high concentration of talented musicians when I was a teenager. I spent the first 18 years of my life there and then moved to Kitchener-Waterloo, during university. I bought records in Toronto and went to lots of raves there in the early 90s. My friends and I used to throw parties here and there… We used to go to Detroit a lot to hear Richie Hawtin.
I had a radio show in K-W. Kitchener had some amazing talent back then! I’ve been into so many different styles of music over the years. Generally, I just like good music over not-good music.
4. How would you describe your own style?
Hehe…I’ll take after Colin and let you guys deal with that question.
5. What are you currently working on?
There’s a few new ones in the shops right now. Flashback 003, Wolf Music 003 and the 7 Inches of Love. There’s more of those coming! I love 45s! I can’t tell you how satisfying it was to get a small box of them in the mail! I have a release with Karat which should be out very soon, a remix on Home Taping is Killing Music, and a 12″ with the excellent new label Sleazy Beats Records… Frankly, I can’t even believe I’m talking about it. I’ve wanted to make records all my life. Glad people are diggin’ it.
6. What are your future plans?
Ski, organize music in my spare time, do some DJing and record shopping. Basically do the same things over and over again.

Vielen Dank für diese Perle an dich und Eddie! Jeder seiner bisherigen Mixe ist einfach pures Gold, von seinen Produktionen ganz zu schweigen.
